Happy All-Teachers Day! As this holiday is celebrated during the Year of Teacher this is a double holiday and we hope that your joy and appreciation of what you do would double as well.
 
International Teachers Day as observed by UNESCO is Oct 5. Being held ever since 1994, it commemorates teachers' organizations worldwide. Its aim is to mobilize support for teachers and to ensure that the needs of future generations will continue to be met by teachers. This is exactly what EFL Teachers Associations in Russia do – kudos to 50+ Associations and their enthusiastic members!

I have just come across an interesting site http://5oct.org/index.php/en/index that invites teachers to share snapshots of their Teachers Day parties with colleagues around the world. I really liked their slogan “Recovery Begins with Teachers”. Here is the greeting card to all of you!
