Umbrella Newsletter # 41
Dear Colleagues,
With the New Year, new dreams, hopes and aspirations come alive. For teachers this new beginning happens twice: on September 1st, when the new school year starts, and on January 1st, when the new year begins. Moreover, in Russia, our teachers hear the bell ring three times a year: when the school year starts, the chimes of the Kremlin on New Year’s Eve, and on the last day of school. This helps us celebrate better each moment of our life: yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
This New Year’s Newsletter is a sack of gifts from your friends. In the newsletter, we hope to share with you some ideas and opportunities that will help you make each work day a holiday. Take time to examine each gift carefully and invite more people to enjoy what is inside. During these long holidays, you will finally have time to catch up on many things that you’ve been postponing for a while: check websites, think about new proposals and do something for yourselves. You might want to start with the “buzzwords of 2009” http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/20/weekinreview/20buzz.html?_r=2
May the dawning of this New Year fill your heart with new hopes, open up new horizons and bring for you promises of brighter tomorrows.
