Dear Colleagues,

The summer is almost gone and this is the perfect time to start thinking and planning for the next school year. To avoid the panic of the first weeks of the academic year, you can take time now to think not only about Icebreaker Activities, Preparing for the First Day and Ideas for All Year but also learn from your colleagues how they never lose excitement about their jo, even at the time of crisis.
By the way, here is evidence that some people manage to thrive at this difficult time - our expat Marina Orlova, an L.A.-based Russian linguist has become very popular in the USA with her program
http://www.hotforwords.com  Here is what one can squeeze out of lectures on Lexicology with a “touch” of creativity!
In this issue you will find reports about summer events and useful links we have accumulated during this time.
Yours,
Elena
