Umbrella Newsletter # 36

Dear Colleagues,

I am sorry for a delay in getting back to you with a new Umbrella newsletter – the end of the Year of Rat was not very kind to me. We have received hundreds of cards and greetings from you and we are very thankful to you for great wishes. I, for one, in particular, loved this piece: “I wish you GENEROSITY so that you could share with other people what you get”. We have collected lots of interesting stories and news and links to share with you over this time.

In this Umbrella Newsletter grammarians will be happy to hear about split verbs/infinitives and what role they can play in politics, lovers of Lexis will get a unique tool that will help them explain the difference in the use of words, EFL Methodology experts will rejoice to get Diane Larsen-Freeman’ course on DVD, and those who dream to participate in various professional development programs will get an array of ideas. In this Umbrella Newsletter grammarians will be happy to hear about split verbs/infinitives and what role they can play in politics, lovers of Lexis will get a unique tool that will help them explain the difference in the use of words, EFL Methodology experts will rejoice to get Diane Larsen-Freeman’ course on DVD, and those who dream to participate
